Odds & Ends

I got bored.  So, I went to town to take pictures of the church!  I was rather impressed by the outcome of these shots--> I love the clouds in them!

Jonathan's Graduation

Ok, so I've finally had a few minutes to post some of my favourite pictures of my youngest brother on here.  He was the valedictorian of his graduating class and I think I speak for the entire family when I say that we are all "damn proud of ya!"  Enjoy the pictures!

He even had time to chill with his baby niece during the day!

"It's raining, it's pouring...."

....and even the swallows are tired of it!!!!!

Photoshoot with Jon

It's officially graduation season again!

My baby brother is graduating from high school this year...I can't believe he's no longer that annoying little kid that would never shut up!!!  I remember him falling asleep on my lap when he was a baby, pulling EVERY single container/pot out of the cupboards every day, and just being so darn CUTE!!!  Really makes a person feel old when they see their baby brother all grown up and ready to take on the world.  Congrats Jonny!!!! (sorry, but you'll always be Jonny to me...) I'm proud of ya!!!!!!  You've got the world at your fingertips!!!

And the finale shot---crazy pooches wouldn't leave him alone!

Claire's First Photoshoot-Pt 1

This is my new niece/god-daughter!!!!  She was born on May 14th, weighing in at 7lbs 5 oz.  She is the sweetest, cutest, cudde-monster in the entire world--according to me, anyway!!!  Love her to pieces!!!!

Enjoy!

These are only a few pics of my favourite shots.....stay tuned for Part 2!!!!!

Easter Break at Home!!

I finally went back home for Easter, and of course had a great time being back in the northern part of the province, where there are actually more than 10 trees around a person's yard!!!!  Every year, my entire family goes quadding in the pasture.  Almost every pasture that we own has an old homestead on it, and with the old homesteads come treasures to be found (or photographed in my case)!!!!

These old tobacco cans were lying outside the old house's back porch, right beside an old rusty cream- seperator and some glass bottles.

This mushroom has been on the base of this tree ever since I can remember--as you can see, it's had a pretty rough life!

Here's a shot of the saddle that my dad has had forever!  It's an antique bone saddle, so it's heavy but it'll last...

Spring!!!!

Yes, it is now officially Spring in Canada--actually, it's been spring for almost 48 hours now, but who's going to argue???  Hopefully, the snow melts nicely, and the grass and the leaves come out in full force soon--but it is March after all and we could be in for 2 months of the white stuff yet!  I'm getting tired of all the dead branches everywhere, dead grass, bleak wintery days....need I say more??  Don't get me wrong--winter can be very beautiful...

I just prefer summer.  :0)

I'll have some pictures of Spring up here soon enough!!!  Stay tuned.

Ode to Friends

A holiday would not be complete without the travel companions.  Sometimes, the people you travel with help make the holiday that much more enjoyable.  Just sending out a HUGE thanks for the great couples we had on our holiday to Mexico.  Here are a few snapshots of the crazy people that I got to hang out with!!!
Matthew & Carleigh

Colin & Janelle

This one was taken at Senor Frogs.

And then of course, there's me.  Finally--I'm not behind the camera, but in front!!!

That's all folks!  Thanks to Colin, Janelle, Matthew, Carleigh & my hubby Eric for the great memories!
