Playing "Catch-Up!"

eeep!!!  So I've been a little busy the past couple of months (and maybe feeling slightly under the weather until lately)--haven't had much time to post for my photo challenge!  So here are the past 9 or 10 weeks (give or take a few, I may have forgotten some weeks, which I will have to make up later on!)

Soooooo many kids!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of taking photos for my sister-in-law's husband's family.  And was there ever a better behaved group of kids?????  I doubt it!  There were 11 children under the age of nine.  Or maybe the oldest was 10...who cares!!!  There were lots, and they were all sooooo good!!!!  Couldn't have asked for a better shoot with the Prisciak's!  Here are some photos of all those cuties (and their parents and grandparents too)

See what I mean?  Just look at how well-behaved all these dark-eyed little ones are!!!!!  Amazing I tell ya!  Thanks again Prisciaks!!!

Week 6: Party!

Well, my hubby and I went on a little trip to Winnipeg last weekend, and we went out to the Jets vs. Rangers hockey game.  It was quite the atmosphere in that rink, let me tell you!!!  If I was a Jets fan (GO OILERS!!!) I would have been just as crazy as some of those fans that night!  So, getting to my point, this was the closest thing to a "party" that I could get---the rink authorities wouldn't let me take my big camera out of my bag, and I wasn't about to get it confiscated.  So....cell phone pic it is!

Next week's challenge....."tools".

Week 5 Challenge: Spice

It's hard to find a lot of "spices" that aren't dried up and in a bottle here in Saskatchewan.....but I managed to get a shot of some that are fresh!  (although they won't last long, as we'll be chowing down on them for dinner tonight...)

52 week Photo Challenge??? Yes, I think so!!!!!

I have seen these "challenges" floating around the world wide web for the past little while now, and I just decided that if I found a good one, I would do it too!  You are given a word, or a phrase, and must come up with a picture to describe that particular word or phrase!  So, the time has come and I've been "challenging" myself for 4 weeks now.  I will try to update on here every week, after I've completed that week's challenge.  So far, I'm only 4 pictures behind on posting....so here they are:

Mr. Rylan turns 1!

So I just happened to be planning a trip to my parents' place this month, and an old school mate of my sister's contacted me about doing a photoshoot of her youngest little guy, Rylan.  He was, of course, adorable and such a happy little guy!  Here's a few snapshots to enjoy!

Thanks for providing me with such a good model, Jenny and Murray, and for letting me capture his sweet smile!(not to mention a few cute shots of him with his big brother and big sister!)

20.....13!!?!!?!!?!!!

Oh my, I can't believe I managed to skip posting pictures from an entire year!!!!!  2012 was good to me.  I was able to watch my little one grow and have her very first birthday cake (it was a hello kitty cake that I whipped up over the course of a few days).  My husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary.  I became an aunty twice over again--a niece in January and a nephew in November.  I also had the privilege to be the photographer at 3 weddings, and we attended 6 more weddings on top of those 3!!!!  I also managed to fit in a few family, and one baby photoshoot!  I decided not to return to my full time position at Louis Dreyfus Commodities, which was a hard thing for me to do, but I value my precious little family more than my busy days of grain elevator mumbo jumbo.  So yes, 2012 was a successful year, challenging, very busy, with quite a few ups, and not so many downs, but I'm looking forward to yet another wonderful year filled with many blessings!  Bring on 2013!  Here are my favourite shots of the past year...

My "Hiatus"

Hello again everyone!!!  Just thought I'd let you all know that I will be on a temporary hiatus from my photography.  The reason being that I am busy being a new mom to a beautiful baby girl that was born October 12, 2011.  We named her Elise Sarah.  (Sarah being my great grandmother's name)  She has officially taken over our lives and we love her more than anything! Being able to have a child is the most amazing experience in the world and I would not take back any of the sleepless nights, or the crying sessions, or anything about it for that matter!  Here are a couple of shots that I managed to take in between her naps--and mine!
