Spring!!!!

Yes, it is now officially Spring in Canada--actually, it's been spring for almost 48 hours now, but who's going to argue???  Hopefully, the snow melts nicely, and the grass and the leaves come out in full force soon--but it is March after all and we could be in for 2 months of the white stuff yet!  I'm getting tired of all the dead branches everywhere, dead grass, bleak wintery days....need I say more??  Don't get me wrong--winter can be very beautiful...

I just prefer summer.  :0)

I'll have some pictures of Spring up here soon enough!!!  Stay tuned.

Ode to Friends

A holiday would not be complete without the travel companions.  Sometimes, the people you travel with help make the holiday that much more enjoyable.  Just sending out a HUGE thanks for the great couples we had on our holiday to Mexico.  Here are a few snapshots of the crazy people that I got to hang out with!!!
Matthew & Carleigh

Colin & Janelle

This one was taken at Senor Frogs.

And then of course, there's me.  Finally--I'm not behind the camera, but in front!!!

That's all folks!  Thanks to Colin, Janelle, Matthew, Carleigh & my hubby Eric for the great memories!

Playing with Lighting

Well, I have been an extra busy lady the past couple of months--hence, no new blog posts!!!  No fear though....I was taking pictures the whole time--well, almost.
We had the liberty (and the extra holidays to use up) of travelling out of the country for a week in February.  Just gathered four extra people together and headed off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!!!  It was a fantastic winter get-away, and the hotel/resort, food, and company was excellent!  So were the photo opportunities. (*insert cheesy grin here)

Our hotel, the Barcelo la Jolla de Mismaloya, was gorgeous.  Very antique-looking fixtures, and low lighting gave me some great opportunities to play with my lighting techniques.  We also tried our chances on a pirate ship, and I came away with a select few pictures that I really liked from there as well.  Here are a few photos from my travels to the land of tequila!!!  Let me know what you think of them!!!

These next few photos were taken in downtown Puerto Vallarta, along the Malecon.
